In the 100 Push Up Challenge week 8, we bring another fresh push up variation into the mix. This is a weekly challenge running through 2021 starting with the basics and progressively getting more extreme.

Yo yo yo!

It’s week 8 of the 100 push up challenge and this week we are bringing in another complex push up variation to step it up another level.

The 100 Push Up Challenge Week 8

The Workout

Set 1 - 20 Plyo Push Ups
Set 2 - 20 Knee-To-Chest Push Ups
Set 3 - 20 Deep Push Ups
Set 4 - 20 Fist Push Ups
Set 5 - 20 Irregular Push Ups

The Plyometric push ups will be a bit of a shock to the system if you've never tried to push hard enough to get off the ground, but once you get down to the deep push ups you will have other things to worry about!

Plyo Push Ups

Plyometric Push Ups (Plyo for Short) are an explosive push up variation that is a progression for more advanced clap push ups and full body plyometric exercises like superman push ups.

Set up like a normal push up and lower yourself to the ground.

From the bottom of the rep you want to explode off the floor and push up so high your hands come off the ground!

Land back on them nice ad safely and continue for 20 reps!
