Pre-requisites come first. Its in the name. They are exercises that you will need to be competent in, to prepare for the next step.

This obviously varies over the different skills and exercises. In my 'how to' articles I always include a few prerequisites, stretches or strength, that will enable you to do the exercise without risking injuries.

Muscle Up Pre-Requisites

In Reverse Order:

  • Pull Ups
  • Single Bar Dips
  • Dips
  • Rows
  • Push Ups

Back Lever Pre-Requisites

In Reverse Order:

  • Inverted Hang (behind bar)
  • Inverted Hang
  • German Hang
  • Tuck Toe Taps
